The Residency Program

"The object isn't to make art, it is to be in that wonderful state which makes art inevitable." -Robert Henri

The Residency Experience

Senda d’Arte hosts just four exclusive, two-week residencies each year during spring, late summer, and fall. To preserve a quiet focus and close-knit community, each cohort is limited to 4 to 6 multidisciplinary artists. The heartbeat of the residency centers around three shared, catered meals designed to set the tone, build connection, and celebrate your time here. These gatherings extend into an open salon-style setting on the terrace, where each resident is given the floor to present a topic of choice—offering a dedicated space to honor every individual practice and spark collective inspiration.

Why Senda d'Arte?

Artists come to Senda d’Arte to step out of the noise of modern life and into a landscape designed for deep focus. The unique alchemy of this place lies in its ability to offer the perfect balance of independence and connection. It is an environment that respects the solitude needed to birth new ideas while providing a warm, supportive network of peers when you choose to step out of your personal process. Whether you meander through your thoughts or set forth with a strong compass, our sanctuary will embrace your creativity in tranquility, beauty, and shared community.

What Makes Senda d'Arte Unique?

  • A Living Metaphor for the Creative Path: True to our name, the physical environment encourages you to carve out your own artistic trail. The natural rhythm of the valley dictates a slower, intentional pace of life that directly feeds your output.

  • The Historic House: A deeply characterful, restored heritage home engineered specifically for creators. It provides a rare combination of private, quiet rooms for introspection, communal areas designed to spark dialogue, and significant studio space indoors and out to create.

  • The Optimized Landscape: The geography itself acts as an extension of the studio. From the dramatic limestone cliffs to the hidden rivers, the wild, evocative Asturian landscape serves as both an open-air canvas and a boundless source of raw inspiration.

How to Apply:

Spaces for our two-week multidisciplinary residencies are highly limited to preserve the tranquility and community of the house. Applications are issued in curated windows. Join our waitlist below to receive an official application link as soon as the next cohort cycle opens.

Oh! this is perhaps the best part of Senda d'Arte. . . the desire to stay.  The desire to finish a project or dive into another.

Some people invision two weeks as to too short.  For all of these reasons, there is occassionally the opportunity to stay longer.  These are addressed in a case by case basis and by request.
